Happy Headline: High School Graduate Has Huge Surprise for Classmates

An Oklahoma high school senior joined his classmates last Friday at graduation, but little did they know that he had a huge surprise for everyone that he had been working on for several months.

Micah McDade has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair. But still, he was determined to stand up and walk across the stage to receive his diploma just like everyone else.

Unbeknownst to his classmates, Micah spent months in rehabilitation working hard to be able achieve his wish. And he did.

When his name was called, Micah – with a little help from an assistant and a walker – stood up and received loud cheers and a huge ovation which only got louder as he walked to accept his diploma.

A school administrator told the excited crowd, “Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve been doing this a long time. That is the best ever!” (Today)
