Don’t you just love how this time of year puts everyone in a good mood? Even this police officer in Wisconsin didn’t want to write a ticket to a speeding college student. In fact, he let him go with a warning and a neatly tied necktie.

Officer Martin Folczyk pulled over University of Wisconsin student Trevor Keeney for speeding. Keeney copped to driving too fast but explained that he was in a rush because he had a presentation to give and his buddy who was supposed to tie his necktie for him wasn’t home and he was trying to find someone that could do it for him.

The officer then asked to see his tie. Not to verify his story, but to tie it for him. As Keeney was told to get his license and registration, the officer placed the tie around his own neck and tied a knot for him. He then handed it back to Keeney to put it on.

The student was grateful for the quick dressing help and definitely relieved when the officer put his ticket book away and told him to slow down. The nice moment was captured on the officer’s dashboard camera.
