Happy Headline: Michigan Teen Does Charity Walk With Brother on His Back

A 16-year-old Michigan boy is supporting his nine-year-old brother, who happens to have cerebral palsy, by putting the kid brother on his back and walking 111 miles.

Hunter Gandee and his brother, Braden, started their third Cerebral Palsy Swagger walk at the local high school – and will walk all the way to the city of Lansing, crossing the finish line on Monday, April 25th.

Hunter will carry Braden for the entire walk to bring more awareness to cerebral palsy – but this year Braden will walk the last half-mile.

Hunter admits that this will be his last walk with Braden for two reasons. Hunter is starting his last year of high school in the fall and will be preparing for college. Also, he explains, “Braden is getting bigger.”

It’s been a great run for the brothers. They’ve had a fun time and raised plenty of money and awareness for the cause.
