A Niles man is dead after being struck by a car on Tuesday morning. Michigan State Police say that 49 year old Scott Alan Parm was walking to work, at Shelton's Market, around six 30 in the morning when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a Buchanan woman. Troopers tell us that Parm was crossing a four lane section of US Highway 12 at Third Street when the accident occurred. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
