Nesbitt Applauds Plan To Ease Regulations



Eliminating or changing regulations on business has been a priority for Republicans in charge of Michigan's government for the past year or so, and on Tuesday, the Office of Regulatory Reinvention released 77 proposals to do just that. The office was created by Governor Rick Snyder, and one supporter of its ideas is State Representative Aric Nesbitt. The Van Buren County Republican says that the changes proposed this week are just one part of the work being done to make Michigan more attractive to job providers:

Among other things, this week's report recommends making it easier for companies to get small business loans and eliminating state regulations that are stricter than federal rules. Nesbitt thinks the legislature will get to work soon on implementing some of these ideas, and he expects the Office of Regulatory Reinvention to issue more proposals.
