Happy Headline: Honest Bus Boy Gets Big Tip

An honest busboy at a diner in Colorado recently found an envelope containing $3,000 in cash and is now being rewarded big time for his honesty.

Johnny "Thumper" Duckworth found the cash that had been left behind by a customer and could have stuffed it into his own pocket. But instead, Duckworth – who doesn't have a permanent residence and admits that he could have used the money – turned it over to his manager.

Along with the cash, the manager found a bank receipt, so he brought it to the bank, which was then able to trace the money back to its rightful owner, Darrell Cox, who happens to be a frequent visitor to the diner.

Cox says he withdrew the money to buy Christmas presents, and when he found out that Duckworth had returned it, he included him on his gift list. Cox returned to the diner and handed Duckworth a $300 tip. But it didn't end there.

Duckworth's boss wants everyone to know about his honest, hard-working busboy and set up a GoFundMe page with the goal of raising $3,000 for him. People were so touched by the story, that more than $26,000 has been raised. Duckworth says, "I didn't think about the money. I was thinking about doing my job, getting it done."
