In Virginia, a 19-year-old girl saved her father’s life, and maybe even the lives of her entire family, when – with a burst of superhuman strength – she lifted a truck off her father and drove the truck away from exploding propane tanks.
The father of Charlotte Heffelmire was working on his truck in the garage when the jack slipped, pinning him underneath. Things got even worse when fires broke out, threatening to explode both the truck and the nearby propane tanks.
So Charlotte – 5-foot-6, 120 pounds, and barefoot – jumped into action by lifting the truck, pulling her dad to safety, and then driving the truck away from the fire.
She then got her grandmother and three-month-old niece out of the house and put them in a safe spot – and then sprayed a garden hose on the flames until firefighters arrived.
