Happy Headline: “Scarf-Bombing” Event Donates Winter Wear to Homeless

Dozens of people in Fort Wayne, Indiana, recently took to the streets for a “scarf-bombing” event.

While it sounds scary, it’s actually a wonderful gesture where people spent the day collecting and handing out hats, blankets, scarves, boots, coats, gloves, and even food to homeless people for free.

In the spirit of scarf-bombing, the organizers of the event gathered downtown and made these basic items available for anyone in need to take them. And, because the event was held in a very public place, anyone walking through the area could see the good things that were being done – and could be inspired to help as well.

Because of the time, energy, and money donated by the group, many of the city’s homeless population are now better equipped to get through the cold winter months.
