In Virginia, a 9-year-old girl has been on a mission to donate Barbie dolls to homeless girls.
So far, Gianni Graham has collected and donated more than 1,600 dolls – and recently took a major step by delivering 540 dolls to theUpCenter, which is a charity group that helps families in need.
Gianni has a slogan for her efforts – “Every doll deserves a doll” – and is doing her best to spread the word with a website1kBarbiesFor1kGirls.
Gianni’s mom says that Gianni is able to connect with other girls by giving them a gift that can help to encourage them and inspire them in times when they are feeling down.
Before it’s all over, Gianni hopes to put 10,000 Barbie dolls in the hands of “dolls” who can use a boost.
