A police officer in South Carolina took an oath to serve and protect the residents of Spartanburg, and that includes even tiny whiskered residents.
Officer Cody Garrett recently found a tiny kitten in a dumpster. A cat lover himself, Officer Garrett took the little kitten home where his own cat had just given birth to a litter and hoped that she would adopt the newcomer. It worked, and Officer Garrett instantly added a new pet.
He may have added a lot more than that. Officer Garrett took an adorable photo with the kitten, which he named Squirt, and shared it on Instagram.
The photo quickly went viral and cat-loving women all over the country fell head-over-paws in love with them. In fact, the unmarried cop has been bombarded with marriage proposals. But don’t expect him to accept any of them. He has a longtime girlfriend who probably loves being the envy of women everywhere.
