Muhammad Ali‘s daughter Laila Ali is opening up about the loss of her father. While she’s sad about his loss, Laila says she’s been mentally prepared for it for many years.
Speaking on the Today show, Laila said it was hard to watch her father suffer for so many years and takes comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering. She added that he must have fought as hard as he could because death was something the champ was afraid of and never would have wanted to move on. Muhammad Ali died Friday at the age of 74. A public memorial will be held for him on Friday in Louisville, Kentucky.
