A shelter dog named Mila was flown from Texas to Seattle to join a family that adopted her. Except, along the way, Mila was spooked and ran away from her kennel at the Seattle airport.

Volunteers in Seattle later tracked her down, but couldn’t convince her to stay still. They just couldn’t catch her.

So an animal shelter worker named Lachrystal Ricke – who worked with Mila in Texas – flew to Seattle in hopes of bringing Mila in safely.

Sure enough, when Mila saw Lachrystal – a friendly face – she finally realized she was going to be safe and came in without any further chasing around.

Mila will be checked by a local vet before meeting her new family and seeing her new home – all thanks to a very dedicated friend who flew a long way to make sure Mila enjoyed a happy ending to her adventure.
