New York brothers Colin and Wesley DeGonzaque say they now share a “forever bond” after undergoing a life-saving kidney transplant surgery.
Younger brother Colin – who’s 15 – had spent his entire life in and out of hospitals due to kidney failure and was told six months ago that he would need a new organ.
Older brother Wesley – 19 – immediately volunteered himself to get tested.
Sure enough, Wesley was a nearly perfect match and underwent the operation, explaining that this was his chance to do something after seeing Colin so sick for so long.
Both Colin and Wesley are thankful that things are working out and are excited to spend the coming years together, both in good health.
