Thanks to the efforts of two women, there are now hundreds of free books on trains, trams and buses in Melbourne, Australia.

With a few books of their own, copywriter Ali Berg and teacher Michelle Kalus started the program, called Books on the Rail, which allows passengers to read and share books ranging from children’s books to classics.

It is so popular that publishers and authors are now donating books as well.
