Chris and Mariesa Hughes went out of their way to adopt eight rescue dogs.

While they love the dogs and have no regrets about bringing them into their New York apartment, they were finding it hard to sleep because the dogs were constantly hogging the pillows and blankets.

So, Chris – who works as a furniture maker – built a massive bed so there’d be room for everybody.

Chris and Mariesa call it the “megabed.” It spans 14 feet across their bedroom and is 7 feet wide – more than double the length and a foot wider than the standard king-sized bed.

It also features a set of stairs for their older dogs who can’t jump up anymore and storage drawers throughout the wooden frame.

And, as an added creative touch, it also has hand-carved paw prints along the headboard.

Now, everyone’s warm, happy, and comfortable – and sleeping through the night.
