Lifetime has cast both of those pivotal roles in the bio-pic Britney, which is expected to start production in Vancouver next week. BuzzFeed reports that Nathan Keyes, best known for the TV seriesCleaners and a recurring role on Glee, will portray Justin, while Clayton Chitty will take on the role of her ex-hubby.
As previously reported, Natasha Bassett, an Australian who was on the TV series Camp and in the film Hail, Caesar!, will play the singer herself.
Britney, for what it’s worth, is not involved with the flick. When the film was first announced back in August, her rep said, “Britney Spears will not be contributing in any way, shape or form to the Lifetime bio-pic nor does it have her blessing.
An unauthorized bio-pic will be much more interesting than a sanitized one and the decision to cast relative unknowns take on the roles is a smart move.
