After visiting her grandfather in the hospital, Girl Scout Galilea Gonzalez of Des Plaines, Illinois, decided she wanted to help children who were in the hospital as well.

And since unicorns are her favorite, 7-year-old Galilea and her mom came up with an idea to raise money for stuffed unicorns.

She sold fancy bath salts in Ziploc bags – and then used the money she made to buy more than 100 unicorns, which were given out to kids with cancer.

Galilea said the choice to share unicorns with others was easy because unicorns are her favorite and they’re special because they can help other kids.

And, Galilea’s mom is excited to see her daughter accomplishing great things and helping others because she wants Galilea to feel empowered as a girl.
