In Sacramento, a three-legged dog named Logan was having a hard time finding a family to adopt him.

But last week, Logan found a new home. And he and his new owner – a boy named Quinn – have something in common.

When Quinn was 10, his leg and hip had to be amputated due to cancer. And amazingly, when he woke up from surgery, the first thing he said was that he wanted a dog with three legs.

Sure enough. After two years of searching, Quinn and his mom finally found Logan the dog.

Despite losing one of his legs, two-year-old Logan still loves running around and playing fetch.

Quinn, now 12, has completely recovered from cancer – and has a best friend to grow up with.
