Something amazing happened to one very large family when all nine siblings reunited for the first time in 50 years.
The siblings all gathered in Branson, Missouri, and did more than just catch up on old times. They also donated money to help feed over 500 people.
The brothers and sisters wanted to honor their mother, who had passed away 14 years ago, so they chose to lose weight together. Even the kids and grandkids joined in the effort. For every pound the family lost, they donated $10 to charity.
They ended up losing 250 pounds total, so they donated $2,500.
Other groups heard what the family was doing and also gave money.
Thanks to the efforts of these brothers and sisters to finally, after 50 years, all get together, nearby food pantries received $3,850.
And, they are happy to report that after being apart for so long, they all still get along.
