South Carolina law states that in order for DUI prosecutors to seek full charges, video needs to be recorded as soon as an officer sees a suspected drunk driver to the moment the suspect is arrested and put in the patrol car. Mothers Against Drunk Driving are not pleased, saying that making dash cam arrest videos a required piece of evidence in drunk driving cases is making prosecutions more difficult.
