TAYLOR SWIFT: A Poet, and She Knows It

Taylor Swift took an interesting route in baring all for a cover story in the British edition of Vogue — by writing a poem instead of sitting for an interview.

Tay got all dolled up for a multi-page fashion shoot, modeling everything from evening gowns to mermaid-styled gear, and accompanied that with a long verse titled “The Trick to Holding On.” The first stanza goes:

Let go of the ones who hurt you
Let go of the ones you outgrow
Let go of the words they hurl your way
as you’re walking out the door
The only thing cut and dry
In this hedge-maze life
Is the fact that their words will cut
but your tears will dry
