When Justin Timberlake was announced as this year’s halftime performer, fans rejoiced. Pepsi, the Super Bowl’s sponsor, is taking advantage of the JT hype by starting a behind-the-scenes series leading up to the event. The string of short videos will include scenes of Timberlake’s planning of the show with his team as well as some exclusive interviews. The first episode, released Wednesday (Jan. 17), gives an overview of Timberlake’s career and the episodes to come.

“I really am looking at it as my first time,” he says in the two-minute clip — though this isn’t Timberlake’s only time on the Super Bowl stage. The boy band that launched him to superstardom, *NSYNC, performed in 2001. He later joined Janet Jackson in 2004 in her halftime show, which led to the infamous wardrobe mishap that made international headlines. This year, however, is a chance for Timberlake to start fresh and give fans an unforgettable performance. “I am getting an opportunity to have the stage to myself,” he says. “I believe it’s also the place where there’s nothing wrong with giving people what they want.”

“For 12 or 13 minutes, we’ll have a really good time,” he tells the camera. Watch the full video below, and watch Timberlake’s halftime show on Feb. 4. (Billboard.com)
