1987 – Women’s rock band, Heart started a three week run on the U.S Singles chart at No.1 on this day in July, 1987, with their song “Alone.”
1995 – On July 11th of 1995, George Michael signed a two album deal between Dreamworks in the U.S and Virgin in the U.K. Sony Records was paid $40 Million to release him as part of the dual deal.
