1982 – July 24th 1982, “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor hit No.1 on the U.S singles chart and held its place for 6 solid weeks. It’s popularity was thanks to the freshly released film in which it was famously featured, “Rocky III.”

1995 – On July 24th 1995, a three night event honoring Frank Sinatra’s 80th birthday launches in Los Angeles. His beloved New York City pays their own tribute by lighting up The Empire State Building in blue to honor him.

2007 – Beyonce took a fall onstage while performing in Orlando, Florida on July 24th 2007. She tripped down twelve stairs, but quickly recovered and kept singing, like only Queen Bey could.
