In Cincinnati, Melkita Hill was at a basketball court with her three sons and their friends when two police officers drove by.

The officers quickly realized the kids needed a new basketball net, so they went to a nearby Walmart and bought a net — and a new basketball as well.

Once the officers returned, one of them let a 16-year-old player use his shoulders as a ladder to get the new net installed.

The gesture meant so much to the kids playing, but also to Melkita, who created gift baskets and dropped them off at the station to say thank you. (The Enquirer)
