Paul Jones of Panama City, Florida, is getting students in his community ready for the new school year by refurbishing and donating laptops to those in need.

Paul has been watching as plans for the re-opening of schools have changed. It seems like there will still be a lot of virtual learning, so Paul used his expertise with computers to help out.

What started off as a Facebook post, has now turned in to a full-blown operation with a 40-person waiting list — and another 100 requests beyond that.

Paul accepts donations of laptops and then gets to work, making sure the laptops are running smoothly. He then gets the machines into the hands of students — and gets to work on the next batch.

Paul realizes things will be difficult enough for students this fall. By delivering working computers to those who don’t have access, he knows he’s setting those students up for success, no matter how this school year unfolds. (WJHG-TV)
