Have you had a friendship end because of politics? A new Pew Research survey found that 40% of registered voters polled said they do not have a single close friend supporting a Presidential candidate different from the one they’re supporting.

The Eskimo Pie, which has been a popular frozen treat for almost 100 years, is getting a name change. Citing racial insensitivity and following the lead of other brands like Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben’s, Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream announced that it is dropping the name and logo, which depicted a young Inuit boy. The ice cream bar will now be called Edy’s Pie, beginning next year. (Food Dive)

So it seems the launch date for the new iPhone 12 will be October 13th. Are you excited to get the latest phone? According to a new survey, it seems fewer people are. A whopping 90% of respondents said buying the latest smartphone is a “waste of money.” More than half said they were “bored” with trying to keep up with the latest tech – and 75% said they’re no longer willing to shell out a bunch of money to get the newest features. A third of survey respondents said they plan to spend less on smartphones and other gadgets over the next two years. (SWNS)

The NY Daily News says two former Oklahoma jail guards and their supervisor were recently charged with cruelty for forcing handcuffed inmates to listen to the ”Baby Shark” theme song. Four inmates stood against the wall as Greg Butler Jr. and Christian Miles blared “Baby Shark” for hours on end. Their supervisor, Chris Hendershott, did nothing about the mistreatment.
