Lewis Capaldi just knocked Ed Sheeran for a loop — by knocking him from a prized position in British chart history.
The Scottish star’s debut, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, just marked its 77th consecutive week in the Top 10 of Britain’s Official Album Chart. That outdoes Ed’s Divide, which notched 76 straight weeks at those lofty heights.
That puts Lewis at the top of the pop heap, but if he wants the overall win, he’ll have to work a little harder. Nine soundtracks and musicals loom large ahead of him, topped by the classic South Pacific, which stuck around the Top 10 for 180 straight weeks. (Official Charts)
