When Luna Glass of Staunton, Virginia, learned that her little sister’s teacher was battling breast cancer, she wanted to do something to help.
The timing was perfect as Luna had long hair, which meant she had something to give.
Luna — who’s in 7th grade and had only once before gotten her hair trimmed — took the plunge and got a big-time haircut.
Amazingly, the hair stylists were able to cut off over 24 inches of Luna’s hair and set it aside for a special wig, created for the teacher.
Luna admits the haircut was a big change, but one she was glad to make. She hopes her donation helps make things easier for the teacher — and also hopes it inspires others to lend a helping hand in any way they can. (WHSV-TV)
