Katy Perry is among four acts to confirm a Las Vegas residency. The newest casino on the strip, Resorts World, opens next month and christens its 5000-seat venue in the fall.
Among her eight nights performing in Vegas, Katy will ring in the New Year 2022. After “Waking Up In Vegas,” she will do it all again on New Year’s Day.
Another American Idol judge, Luke Bryan, will play at Resorts World. As will Idol winner and country star Carrie Underwood. Céline Dion returns for a third residency in Vegas. She debuts the Resorts World theater this November. Her first night will be a COVID-19 relief benefit.
Tickets go on sale for all dates starting May 24th, which is one day after the American Idol grand finale. (Billboard)

Miley Cyrus marked a wistful Throwback Tuesday with a post looking back at the fourth anniversary of her hit “Malibu”– and some of her life changes since.
She tweeted out a short video of her isolated vocals from the song with a short message reading “Today is the 4 year anniversary of ‘Malibu.’ A song about a place and person that at the time I loved very much” — a reference to her then-husband Liam Hemsworth.
Miley lost Liam in a divorce, and lost her home in Malibu to the wildfires that ravaged the area in 2018.
