Don’t throw your banana peels in the trash — turn them into bacon! A growing foodie movement aimed at reducing food waste has discovered an unexpected use for discarded banana peels. You could actually make banana peel bacon. People say it’s pretty good — and much healthier than real bacon. Just scrape off all the banana remnants inside the peel. Then, marinate it in soy sauce, maple syrup, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Then fry it up and enjoy your new smoky, crispy snack while feeling good about producing less waste. Click here for the recipe.
