TODAY IS:
  • National Leon Day: Nope, this isn’t a day to recognize people named Leon – although I’m sure they would appreciate some love today. Leon Day actually recognizes June 25th as being six months away from Christmas Day. Leon is Noel spelled backward. So … get out there and do some Christmas shopping?!
  • Global Beatles Day: A good day to listen to the Beatles.
  • Take Your Dog to Work Day: It’s hard enough that many of us have to go back to the office. But it’s even harder leaving our furry friends behind. So today’s the day to convince your boss that your mental health depends on fido or fluffy being along side you today!

Having trouble getting your regular daily intake of water? This may motivate you. A New York company called Hydrate, which makes flavored supplements for water — wants to pay you 15k … to drink 8 glasses of water every day for 8 weeks. You’ll also have to make at least three videos a week to be posted on Instagram and TikTok.
“As our Chief Thirst Officer, you’ll be the authority on all things hydration, making sure our audience is never thirsty (like never, ever). It starts with something as simple as drinking 8 glasses of water a day (with Hydrant of course). Once it kicks in… the world is your oyster,” the company wrote on the job listing. Interested? Just post a “creative AF” 15-second video to Instagram or TikTok telling the company “why you’re thirsty” and showing them “how thirsty you are.” Here’s all the info you need. (Insider)

There are always plenty of challenges to overcome in a marriage, but what about the physical challenge of one partner being much shorter than the other? … Well, when James Lusted of England says he looks up to his wife, Chloe, he means it literally. The 33-year-old actor is nearly two feet shorter than Chloe — a difference large enough to earn them the Guinness World Record for greatest height differential of a married couple. Due to a rare type of dwarfism, James is only 3 feet, 7 inches tall. Chloe is just over 5-foot-5 — a difference of one foot, 10 inches.

For decades, we’ve been taught that one of the major “keys to happiness” is a great work-life balance.  But now, even that is being called into question.  Kind of. A new study has found that while it’s good to get to a place where you’re not stressed at work . . . being TOO RELAXED can be a bad thing as well.  Researchers in Toronto say there’s a limit to the positive impact of balancing your work with plenty of leisure time.  If you’re too relaxed, you’re probably not doing your job very well. Employees do their BEST work when their work-life balance rates as about 3.5 on a 5-point scale.  In other words, it should just be “okay.”  And in some situations, it’s actually best for it to be a little lower . . . around a 3.
