The power of United Way of Southwest Michigan lies in our ability to leverage, multiply, maximize, and compound your gifts to create a level of change that no one person could create on their own.
In gratitude for your investment in our community, we are providing a chance to PAY IT FORWARD 5X! An individual who donates or pledges at least $156 (the equivalent of $3 a week) to United Way of Southwest Michigan is automatically entered into the PAY IT FORWARD sweepstakes for a chance to win $500 AND give $2,500 to a nonprofit* of their choice in Southwest Michigan. 5 winners will be randomly selected!

Rules & Regulations
PRIZES: 5 cash prizes of $500 will be awarded to each sweepstakes winner. Each sweepstakes winner will designate an amount of $2,500 to a nonprofit of their choice in Berrien, Cass, or Van Buren counties. United Way of Southwest Michigan reserves the right to review and approve the selected 501c organization.
TO ENTER: During the 2022 United Way of Southwest Michigan Annual Campaign, an individual donates/pledges $156.00 per year to qualify for one entry into the PAY IT FORWARD sweepstakes.
A gift of $260-$499.99 per year will qualify for two entries into the PAY IT FORWARD sweepstakes.
A gift of $500 or more per year will qualify for three entries into the PAY IT FORWARD sweepstakes.
An Individual can win only once, no matter the number of entries.
Online pledge forms and paper entry forms must be returned to United Way of Southwest Michigan by 5 p.m. Eastern Time on January 31, 2023. United Way of Southwest Michigan will not be responsible for companies that fail to submit their employees’ pledge forms and contact information by this date. United Way of Southwest Michigan will not be responsible for lost or misdirected mail.
Entry without donation can also be made by requesting an entry form by mail to United Way of Southwest Michigan, Attn: PAY IT FORWARD sweepstakes, P.O. Box 288, St. Joseph, MI 49085. Complete the entry form containing name, address, phone number, and email address and mail it to United Way of Southwest Michigan, Attn: PAY IT FORWARD sweepstakes, P.O. Box 288, St. Joseph, MI 49085. United Way of Southwest Michigan reserves the right to determine the validity and eligibility of all entries.
Entrants agree to hold harmless United Way of Southwest Michigan and their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, agencies, officers, directors, and employees from responsibility for damages, losses, or injuries, including death, personal injury, or property damage, due in whole or part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this promotion or acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize.
Entrants grant United Way of Southwest Michigan the use of his/her/their name and photograph in all communication and publicity materials without compensation.

Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received.
WHO IS NOT ELIGIBLE: United Way of Southwest Michigan Staff, United Way of Southwest Michigan Board Members, and their immediate families and anyone under the age of 18.
DRAWINGS: Five Grand Prize Winners will be randomly drawn on a date in 2023 from all qualifying entries.
WINNER: The five (5) Grand Prize Winners are responsible for personal taxes relating to winning the $500 cash prize. The five (5) Grand Prize Winners will provide United Way of Southwest Michigan with the name of the nonprofit organization to which they would like to designate the $2,500 prize. United Way will award all 5 cash winners by April 30, 2023. United Way of Southwest Michigan will vet the nonprofit organization and arrange a date/time for the winner to present the check to the desired nonprofit organization.
The Grand Prize Winners are liable for and required to pay personal taxes relating to winning the cash prize, which may include but are not limited to federal gaming taxes and federal, state, and local income taxes.
