Jutes teases 'biggest show that I possibly can' for US headlining tour

Jutes will launch a U.S. headlining tour Tuesday in Phoenix. Speaking with ABC Audio, the "Sleepyhead" artist teases that the run will be "bigger than anything I've done before."

"This is a big jump in venue size for me," Jutes says. "Last year was my first year headlining ever, and we started in the smallest rooms and then by the end of the tour we were in triple the size."

As the venues grow, Jutes wants the shows themselves to grow, too.

"These next venues are just bigger than anything I've done thus far, so of course I wanna level up the production," Jutes says. "I wanna give people the biggest show that I possibly can."

He adds, "It's gonna be a way elevated version of what I've done already."

Jutes will be touring in support of his new album, Chin Up, Beautiful, which dropped Aug. 5.

Stream lots more: Mumford & Sons' 'Little Lion Man' joins Spotify Billions Club

Despite what Marcus Mumford may sing, Mumford & Sons definitely didn't eff it up this time with "Little Lion Man."

The band's breakout single, which introduced the world to their banjo-driven folk sound, has officially passed 1 billion streams on Spotify, making it the first Mumford & Sons song to join the streaming service's Billions Club.

"Little Lion Man" was first released in 2009 as Mumford & Sons' debut single and appeared on the band's 2009 debut album, Sigh No More. It hit #1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart and was nominated for a Grammy.

Mumford & Sons have since released five more albums, the most recent of which being Prizefighter, which dropped in February.

Morrissey says Vegas shows canceled due to 'logistical reasons outside of Morrissey's control'

Among the many losing bets placed in Las Vegas was the bet that Morrissey's four-show run in Las Vegas would go on as scheduled.

News broke over the weekend that Moz's scheduled performances at the Wynn Las Vegas, which were set to begin Friday, had been canceled. While that in and of itself may not be the biggest of stories given the former Smiths frontman's reputation for scrapping live performances, Morrissey wants you to know he is not to blame.

In a post to his Morrissey Central website headlined "MORRISSEY DOESN'T CANCEL VEGAS," the "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" singer writes, "The shows cannot happen for logistical reasons outside of Morrissey's control."

This isn't the first time Morrissey has used this sort of reasoning when a show's been canceled. Back in March, Morrissey said he was left in a "catatonic state" upon arriving in Valencia, Spain, for a scheduled concert there because of the music from a local techno festival. He then said that the Valencia show had been "rendered impossible due to sleep deprivation."

"The show is not cancelled. Circumstances render the show impossible," Morrissey wrote.

Morrissey is currently set to return to the live stage in September to play Riot Fest in Chicago.

Now The Strokes and Charli xcx are making rock music.

The pop star made a surprise appearance during Julian Casablancas and company's headlining set at San Francisco's Outside Lands festival over the weekend. She joined the band for a performance of the Is This It cut "Take It or Leave It."

In introducing Charli to the stage, Casablancas congratulated her on having "defeated us at the album sales." Both Charli and The Strokes put out new albums on July 24 — Music, Fashion, Film and Reality Awaits, respectively — with the former debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200 and the latter landing at #13.

Prior to sharing the Outside Lands stage, Casablancas collaborated with Charli on the song "Mean girls" off her 2024 remix album, Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat.

The Strokes have been touring the U.S. over the summer in support of Reality Awaits. Up next they're heading to Japan to play the Summer Sonic festival before returning stateside for California's Just Like Heaven festival on Aug. 22.

PTM's John Gourley looks back at 'In the Mountain in the Cloud' and looks forward to touring with Muse

Portugal. The Man has released a deluxe edition of the band's 2011 album, In the Mountain in the Cloud, in honor of its 15th anniversary. Speaking with ABC Audio, frontman John Gourley looks back at In the Mountain in the Cloud, which spawned the singles "Got It All (This Can't Be Living Now)" and "So American."

"It's kind of a really weird record," Gourley tells ABC Audio. "I mean, just within that mix, there are just hooks on hooks on hooks."

Gourley credits mixer Andy Wallace for keeping and bringing together all of those layers to form what he feels is the "most clearly Portugal. The Man album."

"Like, that feels like Portugal. The Man to me," Gourley says.

Along with celebrating a decade-and-a-half of In the Mountain in the Cloud, Portugal. The Man is preparing to hit the road on a U.S. tour supporting Muse, which kicks off Monday in Charlotte, North Carolina.

"I'm excited to play with such a talented band," Gourley says of touring with Muse. "I'm excited to just see the musicianship and be at those shows and kinda see that energy and see what those crowds are like."

As for his band's own set, Gourley says he wants to "bring more chaotic energy to it."

"I really wanna be in this, like, proggy, fun space again," he says.

New blink-182 album in the works, says Travis Barker

Say it is so: a new blink-182 album is in the works.

Drummer Travis Barker confirmed the news in an interview with The New York Times' Popcast podcast.

"I'm working on the blink album this year," Barker says.

The most recent blink-182 album is 2023's ONE MORE TIME..., which marked the return of vocalist/guitarist Tom DeLonge following a seven-year absence from the band. A deluxe edition was released in 2024.

Vocalist/bassist Mark Hoppus told People in 2025 that he planned to start writing new blink-182 material that summer.

Meanwhile, a new documentary about Barker, Louder than Fear, is set to premiere on Disney+ and Hulu on Aug. 13.

Disney is the parent company of Hulu and ABC News.

The Linda Lindas premiere new song, 'Blood on Our Hands'

The Linda Lindas have premiered a new song called "Blood on Our Hands," a track off the band's upcoming album, Gotta Get Out.

"We're living in very dark times and it's really easy to feel hopeless," says bassist Eloise Wong. "'Blood on Our Hands' is about doing what you can, not just on national boycott days and marches, but thinking every day about where your money goes and what you put your money towards, and we have to do our best to support each other."

Gotta Get Out, the follow-up to 2024's No Obligation, is due out Aug. 28. It also includes the previously released song "Burning Out" and a collaboration with Paramore's Hayley Williams called "Closer."

Foo Fighters release 'Are Playing Where??? Vol. II' live EP

Foo Fighters have released a new live EP, Foo Fighters Are Playing Where??? Vol. II.

The six-track set includes recordings from Dave Grohl and company's last-minute club shows at Irving Plaza in New York City and the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey, over the spring to celebrate the release of their new album, Your Favorite Toy.

You can listen to Foo Fighters Are Playing Where??? Vol. II now exclusively via the band's Bandcamp. All proceeds will be donated to local NYC and Sayreville charities.

The Foos previously released the first Are Playing Where??? live EP in 2025, which was recorded during their underplay tour that year. Those shows marked the debut of new drummer Ilan Rubin.

Foo Fighters are currently playing much larger venues — stadiums, in fact — on their Take Cover North American tour, which kicked off Tuesday in Toronto.

Hear Brandon Flowers' latest 'Thrasher' track, 'Tiger's Blood'

The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has released a new song called "Tiger's Blood," at track off his upcoming solo album, Thrasher.

A press release describes "Tiger's Blood" as "an anthemic reckoning with nostalgia, loss, and getting older." It also includes a reference to Mortal Kombat.

Thrasher, Flowers' third solo album and his first in 11 years, arrives Aug. 21. It also includes the previously released songs "Plans" and "Paradise."

Flowers will launch a U.S. solo tour in September.

Every time is Green Day time thanks to Green Day TV.

The newly launched stream on the "American Idiot" outfit's YouTube channel will offer a nonstop feed of 24/7 Green Day content.

"Green Day TV will offer fans around-the-clock immersive programming celebrating the band's 30+ years legacy while showcasing exclusive, never-seen-before content," a press release reads. "The page will feature a continuous stream of Green Day’s music videos, live performances, and archival footage of almost three decades of unseen footage captured across recording studios, music video production, tours, backstage content, and beyond."

Green Day TV will also be home to a new variety show titled Transmission Unknown hosted by drummer Tré Cool, which will highlight hand-picked emerging artists.

You can also catch Green Day on the big screen in their upcoming movie, NIMRODS, which premieres in theaters on Aug. 14.
