Hey, guys, ditch the shirtless profile pics … A new survey found that while guys think a shirtless photo will get them more matches on dating apps, seems the opposite is true. The survey, by Dating.com, found that 90% of guys using dating apps think posing without a shirt will get them more attention. But the research revealed that men posing shirtless in their profile pics get 25% fewer matches. This may be why … 66% of the women surveyed said shirtless pictures are a sign of immaturity. And 79% of women respondents said they wouldn’t even consider dating a guy with a shirtless pic on their profile.
But it seems guys have no problem with women showing skin in their profile pics. In fact, the survey revealed that women wearing bikinis in their pics were 40% more likely to get matches.

Another sequel to Dirty Dancing could be in the works. Jennifer Grey and Lionsgate Studio have a plan.
There isn’t a lot of details, but according to Deadline the studio and Jen are collaborating on a new film that involves dancing.
Considering it’s been 30 years since the original, and sadly, key cast members Patrick SwayzeJerry Orbach and Jack Weston have died — so a reunion kind of seems impossible. Also, there’s no mention of Eleanor Bergstein coming onboard — she created the now-beloved Baby and Johnny characters. We reached out to her and she replied, “I have no details on this at the present time.  If I know more, I’ll let you know.”
Kelly Rowland is a coach on the Australian version of The Voice and said recently it was really tough to share the Destiny’s Child spotlight with Beyonce.
Kel, who’s a coach on the show, made the comment to contestant Chris Sebastian, whose brother Guy is a huge star Down Under. She said, “I know this feeling… Can you imagine what it’s like being in a group with Beyoncé? I would just torture myself in my head. Like, ‘I can’t wear this dress because they’re going to say it’s like B.’ Or, ‘I can’t have a song like that because it sounds too much like B.’”:
And she lived with that for a long time. “There was a whole decade, if I am being completely honest, a decade, where it was like the elephant in the room. It was the thing that would constantly be on my shoulder.”

When all this coronavirus stuff started, the catcher for the Colorado Rockies — Tony Wolters — realized that getting haircuts would be a challenge. So, he committed to growing his hair out, so he could donate that hair to charity.
It didn’t take that long. In just a few months, Tony grew his hair out to seven inches — and was able to get it cut and give it to Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan.
So while many people were complaining about not being able to get a haircut, Tony decided to make the most of it, which will result in a big smile on the face of a child in Michigan.

ABC named Tyra Banks as the new host of Dancing with the Stars.
She replaces Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, who were fired only one day ago. ABC plans a “creative refresh” of Dancing with the Stars for season 29 while “honoring the show America loves.”
Tyra Banks once hosted America’s Got Talent for two summers. She created and judged America’s Next Top Model. She said Tuesday, (quote) “I’ve been a fan of DWTS since its beginning. I’m excited to continue the legacy and put on my executive producer and hosting hats.”
Two weeks ago, victims of Harvey Weinstein settled on a $19 million payment to be shared. But the judge rejected that deal negotiated by New York Attorney General’s Office.
Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein said in court on Tuesday, (quote) “I will not give preliminary approval to the settlement.”
Six accusers complained about the $19 million agreement, which they called “one of the most one-sided and unfair class settlements in history.” They claimed the lion’s share would go to attorneys leaving them “only $10,000 to $20,000” each.
Judge Hellerstein told the lawyers to seek a better agreement.
ViacomCBS severed ties with Nick Cannon, who expressed anti-Semitic conspiracies on his podcast.
Nick currently was hosting a rebirth of his MTV show Wild’n Out, which now airs on VH1. No word on whether the show will survive without him in it.
The company on Tuesday released a statement,  (quote) “ViacomCBS condemns bigotry of any kind and we categorically denounce all forms of anti-Semitism. We have spoken with Nick Cannon about an episode of his podcast Cannon’s Class on YouTube, which promoted hateful speech and spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.”
Two weeks ago, Nick Cannon invited Professor Griff to his podcast. He was once a member of Public Enemy. He departed 30 years ago in the wake of making anti-Semitic remarks.
Naya Rivera’s four-year-old son need not worry about college tuition. The three creators of the TV show Glee promised to establish a scholarship fund for Josey.
Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan released a lengthy statement on Tuesday that said in part, (quote) “We are heartbroken over the loss of our friend Naya Rivera. She was warm and caring and fiercely protective of the rest of the Glee cast. She was tough and demanding. She was fun. She was kind. She was generous. Our hearts go out to her family. The three of us are currently in the process of creating a college fund for the beautiful son Naya loved most of all.”
The results of the autopsy were released on Tuesday. The official cause of Naya’s death is drowning. The coroner did not detect traces of alcohol or drugs.

This is the summer of vacationing in an RV. Throughout the United States, sales and rentals of recreational vehicles have spiked. The RV is an ideal travel vehicle during a pandemic. Large enough to sleep the family but still mobile to get you to where you want to go.
Just one problem: First-time Winnebago drivers don’t know how to maneuver the large rigs. Julie Homrich said they had to landscape their entire yard after her husband “ran over the bushes and backed into our trees.”
Fast food drive-thrus are another hazard for RVs that typically stand taller than 12 feet. Too often an RV destroys overhead awnings. One owner said he was smart enough to walk into a Starbucks to make their order. Getting out of the parking lot was a different issue, (quote) “I tried to go wide. Then I heard a sudden crash. The pole next to the building pummeled my RV. It was a $200 coffee.”
A new survey by the research firm Censuswide reveals that 33% of parents spy on their kids’ Internet activity. Other findings:
– 33% of teens and tweens have created a secret social media account.
– 20% of teens have secret online friends
The owner of a pizza shop in Delaware thwarted an armed robbery by using a pizza as a weapon.
Delaware State Police says the owner of Stargate Pizza in Greenwood, Delaware was closing down the restaurant for the night when a man with a machete approached him and demanded money. The owner told him he didn’t have any cash and then picked up a pizza and threw it at him. The cheesy assault worked as it scared the robber and caused him to flee in a car.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the assailant. The shop owner was not injured.

Maroon 5 bassist Mickey Maddon says he’s taking a “leave of absence” from the band in the wake of his arrest on charges of domestic violence.
The 41-year-old musician was taken into custody late last month after being charged with “intimate partner violence.” He gave People magazine a statement saying, “I have some things that I need to deal with and address right now and so I have decided to take a leave of absence from Maroon 5 for the foreseeable future. I wish them the absolute best.”
Maddon was also busted for cocaine possession back in 2016 and served one day of community service.
The pandemic is not treating all of us very well financially, except for Imagine Dragons star Dan Reynolds. Many assisted-living facilities banned visitors rather than take the risk of coronavirus infecting the residents.

For his well-being and her own sanity, Mary Daniel applied at his facility to be a part-time dishwasher.

The boy was found unharmed in their rented boat, but Maya had disappeared. Authorities believe Naya was swimming with her son when they both struggled to get back to the drifting boat. Naya was presumably able to save her son but not herself.
When Dancing With the Stars returns this fall, it will have a new host. ABC informed Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews that their talents are no longer needed. The show is headed in a “new creative direction.”
Kelly Preston‘s shocking death is not the first time that John Travolta has lost a loved one to breast cancer. His first girlfriend, Diana Hyland, died of the disease. When his wife at the time, Amber Heard, learned of his financial mismanagement, Depp alleged that she threw a “haymaker” punch at him. The 33-year-old former Glee star went missing five days ago while boating with her four-year-old son on California’s Lake Piru. The boy was found unharmed in their rented boat, but Maya had disappeared.
The Ventura County Sheriff summarized Naya’s final moments that featured saving the life of her 4-year-old son, Josey. The Sheriff said (quote) “We know from speaking with her son, that he and Naya swam in the lake together. Her son described being helped into the boat by Naya. The idea perhaps being that the boat started drifting. It was unanchored. She mustered enough energy to get her son back onto the boat, but not enough to save herself.”
Divers had been searching since the disappearance. The lake is known to have numerous tree limbs and other obstacles underwater, and Rivera’s is just one in a series of deaths there.

RESTAURANT OWNERS PAY IT FORWARD WITH FREE PIZZAS
Jack Srebnik and Ellen Spencer have owned a pizzeria called The Slice in Rancho Mirage, California, since 2008. Of course, this year has been unusual — but they’re doing their best to serve others with a new program they’re calling Pay It Forward pizza days. Every Monday, Jack and Ellen donate 20 pizzas to nurses at a nearby hospital — and each Thursday, they deliver 80 free burritos. And, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, they distribute 50 to 70 pizzas to local senior citizens. They’ve been able to keep their business rolling, even with all the social distancing rules and special cleaning rules. But instead of just worrying about themselves and their business, Jack and Ellen are doing their best to share their success with others by giving away free food whenever they can. Meghan has always believed she was the heroine of her own story, which would be a very inspiring tale for young girls.”
KOCO-TV claims filming at the former Joe Exotic Tiger King zoo in Oklahoma was shut down last week after a film crew found what they believed to be human remains. Garvin County Sheriff deputies investigated and said the remains were from a small animal not a human. Filming is going to continue, though. The zoo, ironically enough, is currently controlled by Carole Baskin and her Big Cat Rescue organization, which happened as part of a $1 million judgement that Joe Exotic owes as part of a copyright infringement case.
Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator and former star of Hamilton, was asked recently if he thought Broadway was in trouble. He says, “One of the things I’ve been reading during this quarantine is a biography on Shakespeare, and it reminded me that when he was first coming to prominence, it was mostly traveling groups of players wandering the countryside, performing for small towns. Theater survived the bubonic plague — theater is going to be fine!” A 2016 fully-produced performance of Hamilton featuring Lin in the title role is now streaming on Disney Plus.

This year, due to the coronavirus, every American is simultaneously experiencing a LifeQuake. It offers an opportunity for positive change. We find ways to commemorate these personal rebirths. One common way is to mark the moment with a meaningful tattoo.
Bruce Feiler describes the LifeQuake in his new book, Life Is in the Transitions: Mastering Change at Any Age. Feiler writes that adults experience a major disruption to their routines almost yearly. These are life-changing moments involving relationships, family, personal health, jobs, and occasionally “birthdays that end in zero.”
Most times, we roll with these setbacks. Get knocked down but right back up. But once a decade or so the disruption becomes “truly disorienting and destabilizing.” That’s what Bruce Feiler calls a LifeQuake.
Feiler identifies three, distinct emotional phases of the LifeQuake. We must say goodbye to the old normal, then a lengthy re-adjustment period that feels messy followed by a “new beginning.” The book identifies ways to get through these adjustments faster and with better adjustment with less emotional hiccups.
