‘Smallville’ Allison Mack Pleads Not Guilty To Sex Trafficking After Arrest For Alleged Involvement

“Smallville” actress Allison Mack pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit forced labor charges as part of an alleged sex cult in a federal court in New York. Mack, 35, appeared before a judge in the federal court in Brooklyn. After entering her plea the judge refused a request by her lawyers to release her without bail. A bail hearing will be held Monday. Also during the court appearance, it was revealed Mack married “Battlestar Galactica” star Nicki Clyne, who was also rumored to be part of NXIVM. Clyne and Mack were spotted in Mexico when cult leader Keith Raniere was hunted down by police and arrested at a $10,000-a-week villa they were reportedly hiding out last month.  Raniere, the co-founder of the self-help organization and alleged cult NXIVM, is accused of keeping numerous women as slaves and branding his initials into their skin. Pink Lands Cover of People Magazine’s 2018 ‘Most Beautiful’ Issue With Her Children

The singer Pink has landed the cover of People magazine’s newly renamed “Beautiful” issue. The Grammy-winning artist is featured on the cover of the magazine with her two children: son Jameson Moon and six-year-old daughter, Willow Sage, with husband Carey Hart. People editorial director Jess Cagle explained how the magazine’s “Beautiful” issue has evolved, which led to the decision to drop the word “most” from the title. “We’re renaming it “The Beautiful Issue” — to make clear that the issue is not a beauty contest. Nothing else has changed. Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles have been named hosts of the 72nd annual Tony Awards, which will air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on June 10. The event marks the performers’ first time hosting the awards ceremony. Groban and Bareilles are no strangers to Broadway. Bareilles starred in Waitress, which she also composed the music and lyrics for, and received her first Tony Award nomination for her performance. Homeland actress Claire Danes and husband Hugh Dancy are expecting their second child.  Danes revealed the news during an interview with Howard Stern “I am pregnant. I’m seriously preggo … I’m deep into my second trimester.”  When asked if the pregnancy was a surprise or planned, Danes replied that she and Dancy were trying to get pregnant. “Yeah, this was planned,” she said. “We’ve been wanting another kid for a while, and it happened.” Despite revealing this personal news, Danes says she is keeping the baby’s sex a secret. Suspected Stalker Arrested Outside Taylor Swift’s Home With Knife And Rope

A Colorado man who was wearing a mask and had a knife in his car when he was arrested outside a Beverly Hills home owned by Taylor Swift was released from custody on Tuesday while police continued their investigation. Julius Sandrock, 38, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of stalking after officers went to the home. Swift, who lives in New York, wasn’t at the home, police said. Sandrock was freed from jail on Tuesday morning, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department website. Steven Spielberg has just made history, becoming the first director to see the gross of his movies exceed $10 billion worldwide. After three weeks in theaters, Ready Player One has earned $114.9 million in the U.S., bringing its global total to $475.1 million. 1993’s Jurassic Park remains Spielberg’s biggest commercial success ($984 million) and other smash hits include 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull ($787 million) and 1983’s E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial ($717 million) have garnered Spielberg this honor. CBS’ The Big Bang Theory is creating an impressive guest list for its wedding-themed season 11 finale, when Sheldon and Amy tie the knot. The May 11 season ender will focus on the marriage between Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) and feature a roster of new and returning faces to the long-running series. Among the famous faces set to be in attendance for the nuptials are Star Wars’ Mark Hamill, Kathy Bates, Lauren Lapkus, Jerry O’Connell (as Sheldon’s brother, Georgie); and comedian Teller. Harry Anderson, Judge On ‘Night Court,’ Dies At His N.C. Home At 65

Harry Anderson, an actor and magician featured on the TV shows Night Court, Dave’s World and Cheers died Monday morning at age 65. Police in Asheville, N.C., say officers responded to a call at Anderson’s home and found him deceased. No foul play is suspected in his death. A Rhode Island native, Anderson gained fame as a stand-up comic, appearing on Saturday Night Live before he was cast on Cheers. His best-known role was playing Judge Harry T. Stone on the sitcom Night Court, which aired nine seasons on NBC from 1984 to 1992. The Associated Press said Anderson left Hollywood and resurfaced as the owner of a New Orleans magic shop, and after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, he moved to Asheville.

“This Is Us,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and the film “A Fantastic Woman” received top honors at the 29th GLAAD Media Awards in Beverly Hills. NBC’s “This Is Us” won best drama series, Fox’s sitcom “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” won best comedy and Sony’s transgender drama “A Fantastic Woman” won the award for best film in limited release.  Special honors also went to pop star Britney Spears, who was presented the Vanguard Award by Ricky Martin; and “The Big Bang Theory” star Jim Parsons, who was presented GLAAD’s Stephen F. “Rampage” Takes The Box Office No. 1 Spot With $148.6 Million Globally

Dwayne Johnson’s arcade game-inspired Rampage crept past last week’s top film A Quiet Place to take the No. 1 spot on the box-office charts. Studios estimate that Rampage has grossed $34.5 million in its first weekend in theaters. In a very close second was the modestly budgeted John Krasinski thriller A Quiet Place with $32.6 million. In just two weeks, the word-of-mouth sensation is now just shy of $100 million in grosses from North American theaters. Netflix Backs Out Of Cannes Film Festival After They Ban Films Without Theatrical Release Dates

Following the Cannes Film Festival’s announcement last year that it would no longer host films that did not commit to “being distributed in French movie theaters” the streaming giant’s chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, confirmed to Variety that Netflix will not screen any of its upcoming full-length narratives at the film festival. Sarandos told Variety that, “there’s a risk in us going in this way and having our films and filmmakers treated disrespectfully at the festival. They’ve set the tone. I don’t think it would be good for us to be there.” French theater exhibitors reportedly took issue with Cannes allowing Netflix projects into the main competition despite the films failing to secure wide theatrical release dates in the region. Los Angeles District Attorney Reviewing Sexual Assault Case Against Kevin Spacey

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing a sexual assault case against Kevin Spacey, according to multiple sources The case was presented by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department last Thursday; however, no further details were provided. More than a dozen men have accused the former “House of Cards” star of sexual misconduct. The allegations first came to light last fall when “Star Trek: Discovery” star Anthony Rapp said that Spacey made a sexual advance on him when he was 14. Rapp said it happened in 1986, when he was at Spacey’s home for a party. Mariah Carey is revealing for the first time that she has been battling bipolar disorder. “Until recently I lived in denial and isolation and in constant fear someone would expose me,” Carey told People Magazine.  “It was too heavy a burden to carry and I simply couldn’t do that anymore. Actor T.J. Miller Accused Of Calling In Fake Bomb Threat

Actor T.J. Miller was arrested on Monday for allegedly calling in a fake bomb threat on a train last month. Authorities have charged Miller with intentionally conveying false information about an explosive device on a train to law enforcement. On March 18, Miller was aboard an Amtrak train traveling from Washington D.C. to New York when authorities say Miller called a 911 dispatcher in New Jersey to report that a female passenger with brown hair and a scarf had a bomb in her bag. Investigators inspected the train, but found no explosive devices on board. An attendant from the first class car of the train was interviewed where Miller had been sitting, and claimed the actor had appeared intoxicated upon boarding in Washington and consumed multiple drinks on the train, also telling investigators that Miller had a few “hostile exchanges” with a woman sitting in the same first-class car. Investigators determined the woman was not carrying explosives or doing any of the things that Miller had claimed.  Authorities arrested Miller when he flew into LaGuardia Airport. Prosecutors Say That Bill Cosby Paid Accuser $3.38 Million In 2006 Settlement

Bill Cosby paid $3.38 million to the woman who said that he drugged and assaulted her as part of a 2006 civil settlement, prosecutors said in opening statements of his trial on Monday. The number was made public for the first time on Monday as Cosby returned to court for his trial on three counts of aggravated indecent assault. Cosby, 80, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Andrea Constand, a former Temple University employee, says that Cosby drugged her and then assaulted her at his home in 2004. Cosby’s defense attorneys have argued that he and Constand had a consensual sexual relationship. No criminal charges were filed at the time Constand reported the alleged assault to police in 2005, but she and Cosby settled a civil lawsuit in 2006. This is the second trial for Cosby on these charges. Last June’s trial ended in a mistrial when jurors could not come to a unanimous verdict on any of the charges against Cosby.... [Read Full Story]

John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place” blasted past expectations to notch the second-best debut of the year, opening with $50.2 million in ticket sales, according to final studio figures Monday. The Paramount Pictures thriller, the third film directed by the former “The Office” star, had been pegged to open closer to $30 million. The unexpected success of the $17 million movie gave Viacom Inc.’s Paramount a much-needed hit and the studio’s best non-sequel opening weekend in nearly five years. The Universal Pictures R-rated comedy “Blockers,” with Leslie Mann and John Cena, also performed solidly, collecting $20.6 million in its debut. Arnold Schwarzenegger Returns Home After Successful Heart Surgery

Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after successful cardiac surgery. The procedure was put in place by medical interventionists responding to a resurgence of Arnold’s congenital heart defect, which he first received treatment for in 1997. Schwarzenegger had been tweeting from his hospital bed since Thursday, giving his supporters an update on his condition. He also showed gratitude over his bedside care in his latest tweet, saying in part, “I went to sleep expecting to wake up with a small incision and woke up with a big one – but guess what? I woke up, and that’s something to be thankful for. Thank you to the doctors & nurses. ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ Breaks Record For Most Watched Unscripted Cable Premiere In 6 Years

The premiere of MTV’s Jersey Shore Family Vacation proved to be a huge success for the cable network. The new series became the most watched unscripted cable series premiere in six years. The show’s first two episodes, which were part of a back-to-back two-hour special, averaged a score of 2.96 in the 18-34 demographic—higher than the 2012 season finale. Jersey Shore Family Vacation was also a big hit on social media, with the hashtag #JSFamilyVacation trending for seven hours in the United States on Twitter. The series’ success on social media may have also had to do with it being a global premiere, which was a first for MTV. Actress Jaime King Speaks Out On Violent Attack Against Her & Her Son

Jaime King has posted on her Instagram about the terrifying act of violence that occurred against her, her four-year-old son James Knight, and her friend Judit Balogh on April 4 in Beverly Hills. The actress wrote a note to her fans, thanking them for support and noting that many of the facts that have been released are not accurate. “James Knight is very shaken up, as am I. The attack was incredibly violent, and my 4 year old son was obviously the target of the individual’s brutal attack, which is terrifying,” King wrote. Beverly Hills Police have stated that King’s car was parked and her son James was sitting in a car seat in the back, while King’s friend was in the driver’s seat. Suspect Paul Francis Floyd, 47, jumped on the car and pummeled the window. King’s friend got out of the car to try to stop Floyd, who threw a can at her.  “In an effort to protect the child, the female driver exited the vehicle and confronted the suspect at which time he threw a can at her, striking her arm.” Police said Floyd had also kicked another car before attacking King’s Mercedes. Floyd was arrested on one count each of felony child endangerment and misdemeanor battery and two counts of felony vandalism. Carrie Underwood appears to be on the comback after a November 2017 accident caused her to receive more than 40 stitches in her face. The country superstar took to Instagram to share a rare photo of herself at work in a recording studio. While it’s unclear when exactly the picture was taken, fans were ecstatic to see the singer back in the studio.  Underwood has kept photos of herself to a minimum since she was injured in the accident, which happened when she tripped on steps outside her Nashville home. Filmmaker Says ‘Stranger Things’ Creators Stole His Ideas In New Lawsuit

Filmmaker Charlie Kessler is suing “Stranger Things” show creators Matt and Ross Duffer for allegedly stealing ideas for their hit Netflix show after he pitched a similar project to them. According to the lawsuit filed Tuesday in Los Angeles, Kessler met the brothers at a Tribeca Film Festival party in April 2014 and introduced the concept of a feature based on his supernatural short film “Montauk” that had premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival two years earlier. He later handed over the script, ideas, story and the short film to the siblings. Now, Kessler claims they took his ideas without his permission or knowledge. “Stranger Things,” which originally was titled “Montauk” when it was sold to Netflix, has become a huge hit and a third season in the works. The filmmaker is now seeking damages and lost profits. Nixon recently announced her candidacy for governor of New York. She is set to challenge Gov. Taylor Swift’s Stalker Has Been Sentenced To 10 Years Probation

A 39-year-old man accused of stalking Taylor Swift was arrested in October 2016, and now following a years-long legal battle he was sentenced to probation. Frank Andrew Hoover was accused of following the singer’s motorcade to the airport, sending Taylor’s father frightening emails that included threats to “end” her family, and violating a lifetime protective order against him. After pleading guilty to repeatedly violating the protective order, the stalker was sentenced on Monday to a 10-year probation, but there are many legal strings attached to make sure that he can no longer harass Swift. As part of the conditions of his probation, Hoover must stay one mile away from Swift and her family, and his location will reportedly be monitored by GPS for at least the first year of his probation. He will also reportedly have to complete psychological testing, attend substance abuse classes, surrender all firearms, and undergo random drug testing. Steven Bochco, ‘Hill Street Blues’ And ‘NYPD Blue’ Creator, Dead At 74

Steven Bochco, the legendary TV creator responsible for hits including “Hill Street Blues,” “L.A. Law” and “NYPD Blue,” died of cancer Sunday morning at the age of 74. He began his career working on shows like “Ironside” and “Columbo,” however “Hill Street Blues” was his first big hit, earning eight Emmy Awards in its pilot season and accumulating 98 nominations over a seven-season run.The show featured his signature style, ensemble casts and provocative plots. Bochco also created “L.A. Law” which premiered on NBC in 1986, “Doogie Howser, M.D.” (1989) and “Cop Rock” in 1990.  “Steven fought cancer with strength, courage, grace and his unsurpassed sense of humor,” his family said in a statement. “He died peacefully in his sleep with is family close by.” Bochco was diagnosed with leukemia several years ago. ‘Jesus Christ Superstar Live’ Tops Easter Night Programming With 9.6 Million Viewers

NBC’s broadcast of “Jesus Christ Superstar Live” topped its Easter Sunday competition, garnering 9.607 million total viewers for the night. The live TV musical earned a 1.7 rating among adults 18-49, which was also better than ABC’s “American Idol” and all other competition during the broadcast’s primetime hours. “Jesus Christ Superstar Live” aired from 8 p.m. to 10:23 p.m. Elsewhere, a two-hour “Idol” from 8-10 put up a 1.6 rating and 7.4 million viewers, per fast national numbers. Also of note, CBS’ “60 Minutes” nabbed 8.1 million viewers. Those were the closest any other show came to the NBC musical’s numbers. During a March 30 interview, Kiyoko said,”I’ve had several music industry execs say, ‘You’re doing another music video about girls?
