Yet another Hollywood star has apparently contracted COVID-19 — Robert Pattinson.
Vanity Fair reports that has tested positive, though there’s been no public confirmation. What we do know for sure is that production in London on The Batman has been halted because someone on set has the virus.
Pattinson will play the title character, with Zoe Kravitz co-starring.

Marie Osmond is exiting The Talk after one season as a co-host.
In a statement to Deadline, CBS says, “Marie is a consummate professional, and we thank her for sharing her personal experiences, insight, as well as incredible talents, with our audience. We will miss her humor, kindness and good nature, and wish her much success in her future endeavors.”
Marie left to work on her new show with ViacomCBS and to spend more time with her husband. She says, “My husband and I just dropped our last two kids off at college, we looked at each other, laughed and remembered we hadn’t been this alone together since 1982!! So, at this stage of my life, I’m looking forward to spending more time with him and visiting all the kids/grandkids.”
This comes a week before production is set to begin for Season 11.

Mulan will be free for Disney Plus subscribers.
The highly anticipated live-action reboot will hit the streaming service on December 4th — and fans won’t be charged any extra fees.
For those who can’t wait, it is available to rent today for $30.

The Impact Fund awarded grants to 20 applications. Another round of applications will happen this month. (Billboard)

Many of us are craving the opportunity to hop on a plane and fly away to a relaxing destination. But is anyone actually craving airline food? Apparently so — and some airlines are accommodating them. Airport workers can buy onboard meals from Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific airlines and for those yearning to get back to air travel, Australia’s Quantas is selling an $18 care package that includes business class PJs, packets of cookies, sleep masks, hand cream and more. Taylor Swift may need to defend herself in court, again.
A federal judge dismissed her attempt to dismiss a copyright lawsuit. A pair of songwriters claim that Taylor swiped their lyrics for her number-one song, “Shake It Off.” Her chorus has similar lyrics to their song released in 2001.
Sean Hall and Nathan Butler wrote the 3LW song “Playas Gon’ Play” that hit the charts when Taylor was in middle school. She could have been influenced by the opening verse, which includes the lyrics “The playas gon’ play. Them haters gonna hate.”
The federal judge determined the lyrics are close enough for the copyright case to continue. The songwriters have asked for a share of the profits. Taylor’s lawyers rejected their demands as a “money grab.” (Deadline)

The #FreeBritney movement just took a big hit — after Britney Spears told a court that her conservatorship was all her idea.
Brit’s lawyers filed a request for a new guardian to control her finances as well as her medical health decisions and musical career. Attorney Samuel Ingham the Third wrote, “This is a voluntary conservatorship. Conservatee wishes to exercise her right to nominate a conservator of the estate.”
The papers also shoot down a couple of long-running rumors, stating that the star does not have a developmental disability, and is not a patient in or on leave of absence from a state institution. Britney has pledged to make an in-person appearance at the next hearing, scheduled for November 10th. (New York Post)

A Nebraska man has a bone to pick with his city’s restaurants, and he wants local authorities to help him out — by making it illegal to sell “boneless chicken wings.”
Andrew Christensen showed up at a meeting of Lincoln’s city council, and stood up to speak during the “public comment” portion of the evening, saying he had an important issue to address. His complaint was about eateries that offer “boneless wings” on their menus.
Christensen laid out a number of reasons during his lengthy speech, saying “Number-one, nothing about boneless chicken wings actually come from the wing of a chicken. Number-two, boneless chicken wings are just chicken tenders, which are already boneless. Number-three, we need to raise our children better. We need to teach them that the wing of a chicken is from a chicken, and it’s delicious.” (BroBible)

Camila Cabello thinks we need to borrow from Frozen to overcome our pandemic worries — and just “Let It Go.”
She posted a video as part of her fan outreach, and she acknowledged that she’s been having issues of her own lately. But she says, “Anxiety is really focusing on things that are out of our control. We can’t control this pandemic. We can’t control the actions of other people. We can’t control what happens outside of us. What we can control is how we respond.”
Camila’s advice is old-fashioned, but worth hearing. In a caption for the video, she writes, “We can BE the change we want to see. We want a world with more love, unity, compassion, kindness, empathy. We can choose to BE love, BE kindness, BE compassion, BE empathy in our homes, BE progress towards a better world.”
