Flowers takes over as LMC President
Lake Michigan College has a new president.
Dr. Ken Flowers officially stepped into the role on April 11, taking over leadership of the college under a three-year contract.
A longtime member of the institution, Flowers says he plans to focus on student success, workforce partnerships, and expanding access to affordable education across the region.
Flowers succeeds Dr. Trevor Kubatzke, who led the college for nine years and will now serve as president emeritus. Kubatzke will remain involved through the transition period until December 2026.
LMC says the transition positions the school to continue building on recent growth, including expanded academic offerings and stronger ties with local industries.
