Imagine Finding Tens of Thousands of Dollars…Do You Return It?

A man in Riviera Beach, Florida, is being praised for doing the right thing after finding a fanny pack with more than $30,000 inside at a Wawa convenience store.

Luis Salazar found the bag hanging in a restroom and immediately started trying to track down the owner. When he looked inside for identification, he was stunned to find stacks of cash totaling just over $30,000.

Police later contacted Luis after the owner reported the bag missing, and he returned every dollar.

The owner said he was shocked anyone would be so honest, but for Luis, the decision was simple. “It’s not my money to take,” he said. “I was not raised that way.”
