NBC will air a special half-hour season 11 debut episode of The Voice on August 21st, following the closing ceremony of the Summer Olympics.  Some fans are sad that Christina Aguilera and Pharell Williams will both be replaced this season by new coaches.  Joining Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will be Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus along with 4 new mentors.  Sammy Hagar, Joan Jett, Bette Midler and Charlie Puth have been named mentors for the upcoming season of The Voice.

Though some have concerns surrounding the ages of some of the new mentors, believing that they are out of the loop when it comes to today’s music, I myself am excited to see what the veterans have to offer and what advise they will give new up and coming artists.  Bette will assist Blake Shelton‘s team; Sammy will help Adam Levine; Charlie will help out the team led by new judge Alicia Keys and Joan Jett will advise contestants coached by the other new judge, Miley Cyrus.
