A dead body has been found in a field in LaGrange Township.
The Cass County Sheriff Department reported that at about 1:15 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a call of a possible deceased person in a field near the intersection of Beeson Street and M-62 between Dowagiac and Cassopolis.
The body has not been positively identified as of Thursday evening, and the case remains under investigation. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by its K-9 Division, Cass County Felony Detectives, Cass County Drug Enforcement Team, Pokagon Tribal Police and The Michigan State Police.
