The National Blueberry Festival is underway in South Haven. Jennifer Sistrunk is the director of the South Haven Convention and Visitors Bureau and says the area will be very busy.

“Our population in the summer almost quadruples. Over the course of the week, we could see anywhere from 50 to 70,000 people in town over the course of the four days.”

Even with the surge of people, there is room for everyone.

“That’s the great thing about this festival is it’s so spread out. You’ve got things going on at Stanley Johnston Park with the Craft Fair, you’ve got the Bobby Walker Tournament over at Elkenburg Park, we’ve got the mainstage with the bands down by the river, so everybody’s spread out, which is a really cool thing about this festival.”

The National Blueberry Festival runs through Sunday.
