New York City is home to some of the best pizzerias in the world – and last week, around 200 were under the same roof selling their slices for a dollar a piece.
The Slice Out Hunger charity event – which is in its 8th year – is beautiful and simple. Every slice sells for a dollar and every dollar goes toward charities like City Harvest and the Food Bank for New York City. And it was a smashing success, with people lining up around the block to get in.
Amazingly, the group expects to raise $50,000 this year – one slice at a time.
