A Texas man just joined a really short list of drivers who did a happy dance after being handed a ticket by a police officer.
Hayden Carlo was pulled over for driving with expired license plates and admitted he was in the wrong, but told the deputy he was unemployed and broke – and had a choice between renewing his registration or feeding his young children. The cop, who asked that his name not be used, opted to write Carlo a citation – and then handed the document to him with a $100 bill rolled up inside it.
Carlo says that he used the money to renew the registration for his car as well as his wife’s car, and told a local TV outlet, “I'll never forget that man. It definitely restored my faith in God.”
