Rihanna tells the Daily Mirror that Adele looks incredible following her massive weight loss. “Adele looked incredible before the transformation and she looks incredible now, but you can see how happy she looks. It’s obvious the transformation was for her and not to impress anybody – and I am just happy that my friend looks so confident and content.”
Lorde sent an E-mail to fans to announce her new project — but it’s not an album.
It’s a book called Going South that documents the trip that she and her friend Harriet Were took to Antarctica in early 2019, with text from Lorde and photos by Were. You can pre-order it now through her website.
Lorde said that the trip helped her creative process for her next album. “When I went to Antarctica, I hadn’t yet started writing again after finishing Melodrama. I realized after the trip that what my brain had been craving was a visit to an alternate realm.” She added that Going South serves as a “perfect precursor to this album in an abstract way” and that it’s a “cool little piece of the Lorde cinematic universe.”
Lorde’s last album, Melodrama, was released three-and-a-half years ago.
