TheDodo.com says a German Shepherd mix, named Roadie, was recently found abandoned under a tree in Franklin, Indiana. She had a note attached to her that said her owner abandoned her because he lost his job due to the coronavirus. Local fire chief Jeremy Pell read about Roadie in the paper before adopting her. He now plans to train her as a search and rescue dog. Roadie has become the official mascot of the White River Township Fire Department.
