Jeff Reaves has been the principal of Matanzas High School in Palm Coast, Florida, for four years. That means, this year’s 459 graduating seniors were freshman when he started.
Over the past four years, Jeff has made it a point to try get to know all of his students — especially this graduating class.
Because he took a special interest in these students, he was able to write a personal, handwritten letter to each and every one of them — and present them with this letter before they walked across the stage to receive their diplomas.
It took him a while to finish the project, as he wrote letters from March right on through graduation day.
But, he pulled it off and was pleased with the results, explaining that he, “wanted to shine some light on the students and encourage them as they begin their next journey in life.” (WESH-TV)
