Furry Friends Friday with “Steven” from Berrien County Animal Control – March 18, 2022

steven-bcac_-2022-3
It’s Furry Friends Friday, brought to you by The Mason Jar Cafe, featuring Steven from Berrien County Animal Control!

Steven is a 2-4 year old American Terrier Mix, up to date on shots and neutered. This energetic boy is looking for someone who can help him get “the wiggles” out of his system before settling down for a nice long nap on the couch. If you have the energy, Steven is here to match it! He enjoys playing with toys outside and going for walks or jogs. If you are into other sports or activities, our guy Steven will probably also enjoy them. We think he could do well with another dog who is able to match his energy level and tolerate it. Due to his high energy level, Steven would do best in a home with older children. Steven was picked up as a stray and has been at our shelter since 11/7/21. Time to find this athletic guy a home! Steven is at Berrien County Animal Control, Phone 269-927-5648, 1400 South Euclid Avenue, Benton Harbor, MI 49022. Please contact us or stop by the shelter to learn more about our man of action, Steven.

Furry Friends Friday with “Jessie” from Al-Van Humane Society – Friday, March 11, 2022

jessie-avhs_-2022-3
It’s Furry Friends Friday, brought to you by The Mason Jar Cafe, featuring Jessie from Al-Van Humane Society!

Jessie is a very goofy girl who likes treats and, despite her need for intensive veterinary care for heartworm disease and mastitis, she retains a very joyful personality. Jessie is four years old and came to Al-Van in August of 2021 in need of veterinary care. She has undergone treatment and is ready to find a loving home where she can rest her head. Jessie can be a little hand shy at first meeting, but she is very quick to warm up and trust new people! Once she warms up, she will show her belly for rubs (her favorite!) and will sit for treats. Jessie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, has undergone heartworm treatment, and has been treated for mastitis. She is patiently waiting for her forever home! If you are interested in adopting or fostering or adopting Jessie, you can visit Al-Van’s website at al-van.org.

Furry Friends Friday featuring “Fresco” from Al-Van Humane Society – February 11, 2022

fresco-avhs_-2

Fresco is a very sweet, very smart 3 year old male dog who is as loyal as they come! He has had quite the journey with us here at Al-Van Humane Society, and so many of us are very proud of the progress he has made. He has been at Al-Van for 216 DAYS!! Fresco loves his squishy toys more than life itself, and walks come in close second. As soon as you ask Fresco if he’d like to go for a walk, he gleams from ear to ear! He has been known to do very well with puzzle toys and any other toy that encourages enrichment. He’s got a big head to house his large brain and he’s ready to find the knee to rest it on! Fresco does have some prey drive, so he would do best in a home without cats or small animals, and he would need to meet any dogs that already reside in a home before adoption. Fresco is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and ready for his forever home! If you would like to meet this beautiful and intelligent dog, fill out an Al-Van Humane Society online adoption application at al-van.org/adopt.... [Read Full Story]
