How much time would you say you’ve spent on the couch since March? A new survey found that, since March, the average American spent an extra two hours a day sitting on their couch — or 448 hours in the past 32 weeks. And of the respondents working from home, 61% say they are using their couch as their workstation.

Have we hit comfort food overload? According to a new report by the CDC, more Americans are dieting right now than ever before. According to the report, more women than men said they were dieting and more people 40 and over said they were on a diet. (Eat This, Not That)

The nose knows … What’s your biggest first-date pet peeve? According to a survey by dating site Zoosk, for women their biggest first date pet peeve is a guy who smells. 45% of women surveyed said bad body odor was their biggest first-date turn-off. Guys had similar complaints – but flipped. 55% said their biggest first-date turnoff was someone who spends way too much time looking at her phone, and 21% said a date who didn’t smell nice was a deal-breaker. (Your Tango)

Justin Bieber tells Rolling Stone magazine that he used to perform on the streets to make money. “I sang ‘I’ll Be,’ by Edwin McCain; ‘You and Me’ by Lifehouse; ‘U Got It Bad,’ by Usher; and ‘Cry Me a River.’ I’d make $200 a day. My mom and I went on vacation to Disneyland with the money I made.”

Britney Spears has had enough of her father.
After trying to make him a co-conservator, the pop singer now wants him completely out of her business affairs, TMZ reports.
Brit made the decision after her manager unexpectedly quit at the end of October — and Jamie hired a new one without telling her.
She’s filed court papers demanding that the Bessemer Service Trust become her sole conservator — and that Jamie Spears be removed entirely from the conservatorship, which she’s been under since her infamous mental breakdown in 2007.

Lori Loughlin is five days into her two-month prison sentence for her role in the college admissions scandal and hasn’t been handling it well, according to sources close to her.
The 56-year-old actress reported to federal prison in Dublin, California last Friday and a source tells Us Weekly that she has been “a wreck” so far. The source added, “Lori tried her best to be brave and look at the end result but there was nothing that could dissipate her fears. It’s only two months but she’s dreading it. Her mind keeps telling her that something will go horribly wrong in prison or that her stay could be prolonged.”
Another source says, “Lori really went into prison strong, she had her faith and the support of her family, but the first few days and road ahead are daunting.” Loughlin is doing time at the same minimum security facility that Felicity Huffman served her sentence in. Loughlin’s husband, Mossimo Giannulli is expected to begin serving his five-month sentence on November 19th.

Woman’s Day magazine says Jennifer Aniston is allegedly worried about what Matthew Perry will reveal in his upcoming memoir. A source tells the magazine, “She’s worried Matthew will reveal how flirty she was with him on set, even while she was married to Brad Pitt. Jen also managed to keep rumors of an affair with Matt Le Blanc out of the media, but a book might bring that all up. She knew how much Matthew wanted their on-screen romance to translate to off screen. Their close relationship is still a bone of contention with her fiancé, even though Courtney insists nothing ever happened. She fears that Matthew might say something did, even if it only sells copies. Jen and Courtney have begged her to be the go-between for them and Matthew. If it gets off the ground, this book could end in him being cut out of the fold.”

The results are in … for Election Night Google searches. Seems there were three things lots of people were Googling on Election night: “Liquor near me,” Fries near me,” and “Moving to Canada.”

Have you noticed you’re shedding more hair than usual? You’re not alone. According to medical experts, people have been reporting increased hair loss since the beginning of the pandemic … and it has nothing to do with contracting coronavirus. The cause? Stress. Doctors call it “shock hair loss,” but, thankfully, it’s completely reversible. The solution is to lower your stress levels. Yeah, we know – easier said than done. But eating well, exercising, getting enough sleep and making time to relax and tune out for a while go a long way in helping to reduce anxiety. (Real Simple)

A study conducted in Germany may have pointed a way for concerts to resume during the pandemic.
On August 22nd, German musician Tim Bendzko performed in front of 1200 fans at Leipzig Arena in Leipzig, Germany with a wide set of safety protocols in place. Researchers found that the risk of the coronavirus spreading at similar events was “low to very low” if the protocols include “adequate ventilation, strict hygiene protocols and limited capacity.”
However, the study has yet to be peer reviewed, and the New York Times reports: “Some experts expressed skepticism about the results, saying they needed to be replicated and reviewed, and that more information was needed about how researchers used the modeling.”
Fans and production staff volunteered to take part in the study, and all were tested before going inside the arena. Each person was given a hand disinfectant laced with a florescent dye and a digital location tracker. Different social-distancing scenarios were employed over a 10-hour period, including breaks for fans to go to the bathroom and to simulate buying food and drinks.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello just confirmed they’re definitely still “on” as a couple — by showing off pictures of a puppy they just adopted.
The couple shared an adorable video showing them driving home with the Golden Retriever pup, who seems to have a whole lotta love for Camila, judging by all that licking. For the record, they’ve named him Tarzan.
Tarzan joins the three other dogs Camila keeps at her family home in Miami — a Shih Tzu named Leo, a Chihuahua named Eugene, and a black German Shepherd they call Thunder.

Cathy Herman-Harsh of Chester County, Pennsylvania, has become known in her community as the “pet finder” because she’s able to track down dogs and cats when they go missing.
She admits that finding a lost animal takes persistence. And, it requires doing things that don’t seem right. Instead of running through the woods, chasing a pet and calling its name — which seem to never work — Cathy has other tricks that include luring the pets with lots of food, not making eye contact and scattering clothing that has the owner’s or pet’s scent.
Cathy explains that “every search is different,” but the rewards are great as it’s “an incredible feeling being able to help a distraught pet owner get their baby back.”

Remember Kelly Clarkson‘s “amicable” split from hubby Brandon Blackstock? Well, it’s not so amicable anymore.
According to OK! magazine, things started to get ugly when Kel’s former manager, who happens to be Brandon’s dad, sued her for $1.4 million in allegedly unpaid fees. A pal of Kelly’s says, “The lawsuit really took the wind out of Kelly. She was with them for 13 years and made the company so much money. Now it feels like they’re going after her life savings.”
The spy adds that she’s ready to fight on all fronts. “If Brandon thinks he’s got the upper hand with this lawsuit and that he can get more money out of her in the divorce, he can think again. Kelly’s prepared to play hardball in court and drag out his dirty laundry on her daytime talk show, too. There will be no gagging her.”

It’s all about that blue for Meghan Trainor — who’s just revealed that she’s expecting a baby boy.
She tells Entertainment Tonight that she was positive that she was carrying a baby girl, until her doc delivered the news. Meghan says, “I spent so long where I’m like ‘it,’ or ‘baby,’ and I didn’t know when I could say it, but, it’s a boy.”
And Meghan has learned to dismiss those old wives’ tales. “So, there’s all these myths of, oh, if the heartbeat is really fast, it’s a girl, and if your hips are the first to go out, then it’s a girl, and so I was like, ‘It’s a girl.’ Like, I got it. I was so confident, and then when [the doctor] called us and I was like, ‘OK, tell us,’ and she’s like, ‘What do you think it is?’ And my husband is like, ‘A girl.’ And she’s like, ‘Actually, it’s a boy.'”
Meghan’s due date is in early February.

Harrison Ford has paid tribute to his on-screen father, Sean Connery, who died Saturday at age 90.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Harrison said, “He was my father…not in life…but in Indy 3. You don’t know pleasure until someone pays you to take Sean Connery for a ride in the sidecar of a Russian motorcycle bouncing along a bumpy, twisty mountain trail and getting to watch him squirm. God we had fun — if he’s in heaven, I hope they have golf courses. Rest in peace dear friend.”
In a making-of featurette, director Steven Spielberg said casting Dr. Jones’s father in 1989’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was simple. “There is only one option when it comes to playing Indy’s father and that is James Bond. The original James Bond, the great James Bond: Sean Connery.”
Of Connery’s death, Indiana Jones co-creator George Lucas said, “Sir Sean Connery, through his talent and drive, left an indelible mark in cinematic history. His audiences spanned generations, each with favorite roles he played. He will always hold a special place in my heart as Indy’s dad. With an air of intelligent authority and sly sense of comedic mischief, only someone like Sean Connery could render Indiana Jones immediately into boyish regret or relief through a stern fatherly chiding or rejoiceful hug. I’m thankful for having had the good fortune to have known and worked with him. My thoughts are with his family.”

Britain’s High Court ruled yesterday morning against Johnny Depp in his libel suit against British newspaper The Sun.

She photographed her bruised face to prove it. Depp dubbed that stunt a “choreographed hoax.” His attorneys called Amber Heard a “compulsive liar.”
The three-week libel trial featured “sordid and salacious testimony” ranging from accusations of vengeful bedroom pooping, unfaithfulness, “deep misogyny,” gold-digging, drug and alcohol abuse plus screeds written on mirrors in blood. (The Guardian)

Sir Sean Connery‘s wife has revealed that the actor suffered from dementia before his death at age 90 on Saturday.
In an interview with the Mail on SundayMicheline Roquebrune said, “It was no life for him. He was not able to express himself latterly.” She added that the affliction “took its toll on him”
Micheline said her husband “got his final wish to slip away without any fuss… I was with him all the time and he just slipped away. It was what he wanted.”
The couple had been married since 1975.
Regarding the news of his passing, the internet lit up with tributes, including from current James Bond Daniel Craig said in a statement: “It is with such sadness that I heard of the passing of one of the true greats of cinema. Sir Sean Connery will be remembered as Bond and so much more. He defined an era and a style. The wit and charm he portrayed on screen could be measured in mega watts; he helped create the modern blockbuster. He will continue to influence actors and film-makers alike for years to come. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones. Wherever he is, I hope there is a golf course.”
Pierce Brosnan, who played Bond in five movies, said, “Sir Sean Connery, you were my greatest James Bond as a boy, and as a man who became James Bond himself. You cast a long shadow of cinematic splendor that will live on forever. You led the way for us all who followed in your iconic foot steps. Each man in his turn looked to you with reverence and admiration as we forged ahead with our own interpretations of the role. You were mighty in every way, as an actor and as a man, and will remain so till the end of time. You were loved by the world, and will be missed. God bless, rest now, be at peace.”

An ABC executive admitted that they cast the wrong Bachelorette. Rather than Clare Crawley quitting after finding the love of her life, the producers shoved her out because she became boring.
Clare Crawley will be replaced by Tayshia Adams in next week’s episode, which is pre-empted by the election. It airs on Thursday, November 5th.
Last Tuesday’s episode featured a group date where Clare refused to hand out a rose. That was the aha moment for producers that Clare needed to be replaced. Rob Mills said on the Nick Viall Files podcast, (quote) “When she didn’t give out that rose and she just gave it to herself, that was really when we started making the call to replace her.”
Tayshia Adams answered the production team’s emergency call and quietly began to quarantine before Clare was forced to leave The Bachelorette. (New York Post)

Saturday Is Halloween.

Halloween costumes for pets are on the rise this year … and there’s a good reason why. Because people can’t celebrate the holiday the way they want to or are used to, they are dressing up their furry friends to bring some happiness to an otherwise stressful time. According to the National Retail Federation, sales of pet costumes are not only up this year, but many stores can’t keep dog and cat costumes on the shelves. A spokesperson for the National Retail Federation explained, “People can’t celebrate in person in the ways that they used to, so you’re seeing people try to … have a little joy and share a little joy, in a time when people are dealing with a lot of uncertainty.” (Business Insider)

This brings a whole new meaning to crawling across the finish line … 28-year-old Devon Lévesque of New Jersey will be taking on the New York City marathon this weekend in a very unusual way. He’ll be doing the whole 26.2 miles of the marathon on all fours. Yep, he’ll be bear-crawling the entire length. Devon is starting today and will end his marathon on Saturday. He’s doing it to honor his late father, who committed suicide when Devon was just 16. “It was the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through in my entire life,” he told People. “It was hard to watch because he was a happy-go-lucky person. I haven’t been able to cope with it until about 12 months ago and that is what is driving me to bring awareness to mental health and suicide prevention.”
Devon hopes to raise $200,000 for FitOps, a foundation that helps veterans use their fitness and leadership skills to become personal trainers. “100 percent of the funds raised will go towards the FitOps Foundation,” he says. “They’re dedicated to supporting and empowering veterans for re-acclimation [and] to raising awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.”  You can watch Devon’s efforts on his Instagram page.

At the same time, in those documents, it also shows that he’s paid $27,000 per month to serve as Britney’s conservator.

Lewis Capaldi has notched number-one hits in multiple countries, but he’s proven he’s really made it — he’s now a Funko Pop doll.
The Scottish star will probably be pleased with the way he’s depicted, decked out in black jeans, sneakers, green coat and sunglasses. He’s holding a rose in one hand while extending the other pleadingly, which fits his lovelorn image perfectly.
The mini-Capaldi is available for pre-order and will ship around January 8th.

Jake Gyllenhaal could be waking this morning to itchy ears.
Taylor Swift is once again talking about their brief romance from a decade ago. Then in 2012, she released the Red album. Taylor told Rolling Stone magazine (quote) “This was an album that I wrote specifically about pure, absolute, to the core, heartbreak.”
Taylor taped an interview with the magazine for its 500 Greatest Albums special. The magazine called Red the best of Taylor’s albums. It’s #99 on the Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Albums.
Red features three songs that are clearly about Jake Gyllenhaal. “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” “State of Grace” and fan favorite “All Too Well.” (Daily Mail)
