Natalie Neal is a grandmother who wanted to stay in touch with her five-year-old grandson Tyrion Spann, so she programmed the Alexa unit in Tyrion’s house so he could call whenever he wanted.
It was a great idea because it allowed Tyrion to call easily — and just say hello.
But, it ended up being a life-saving move — because Tyrion’s mom, Jasmine, suffered a serious epileptic seizure — and Tyrion was able to quickly call grandma for help.
When Natalie got the call from her grandson, she quickly figured out what had happened and immediately called 911.
Tyrion managed to stay calm and open the door for first responders, who were able to care for Jasmine.
The whole adventure certainly had a big impact on Tyrion, as he now wants to be a police officer or a firefighter when he grows up.

Kim Kardashian cared for Kanye West while he recovered from COVID in February. He became infected weeks before the United States understood the severity of this coronavirus.
Kim recalled the difficulty saying, “I had my four babies and no-one else in the house to help. Kanye contracted the virus at the beginning, when nobody really knew what was going on. It was so scary. I had to go and change his sheets and help him get out of bed. Changing his sheets with gloves and a face shield.”
The next Keeping Up With the Kardashians episodes document the family’s response to the pandemic. That includes Kim wearing personal protective gear before national scientific leaders called it necessary.
Kim explained on Monday why the family voted to quit Keeping Up With the Kardashians. She said, “It’s really simple. We just need a minute to regroup. We haven’t had a break for 14 years. We just live such big lives. We have kids now and they need us.” (Grazia)

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s custody battle has been put on pause. The two were supposed to have a hearing on Monday, but it was delayed.
The actor is asking the court to give him equal time with the kids. A source tells ET, “Brad is asking for 50/50 custody to be put in place and stay in place.”
The insider says that “Angelina wants to be fair when it comes to custody. She is very structured with the children. Brad has high hopes [they can] try to make it work because of the importance of co-parenting.”
The exes had reached a custody agreement in November 2018, but that fell apart when they couldn’t agree on the private judge to adjudicate their divorce case.
The source adds that Brad has “done everything he can to avoid a court situation” but feels he has been “left with no other choice,” if he wants to be allowed more time with his children.

Life & Style Weekly Magazine claims Meghan Markle is allegedly open to doing a reality show with her son, Archie. A source tells the magazine,  “Meghan thinks her son is adorable. Millie Bobby Brown almost quit acting before making it big.
On Friday night’s episode of The Tonight Show, the Stranger Things star said she  became “very disheartened” by the acting industry after she lost a role on Game of Thrones. Millie said she “really wanted” the part on the HBO series when she auditioned.
“I got a no for that and then that’s when I was like, ‘Oh, this is really difficult,'” she told Jimmy Fallon.
She nearly quit her acting career but decided to have her “last kind of go” at a “Netflix show called Montauk,” which later became Stranger Things.
Millie said, “I auditioned and two months later they got back to us and said, ‘Hey we’d love to Skype with you’ and I Skyped with them, and the rest is history.”
She’s currently starring in the Netflix film Enola Holmes.

The James Bond film No Time to Die has been delayed again.
Producers said on Friday that the 25th installment in the franchise will now open on April 2nd, 2021.
No Time to Die was originally set to debut in April 2020 but was postponed to November. It was one of the first movies to be delayed because of the pandemic.
A day after the announcement, Regal Cinemas said they are “considering” temporarily closing all of its theaters in the U.S. and the U.K. With No Time to Die moving to next year, that leaves very few big releases set to open in the remaining months of 2020.

Women are calling for the word miscarriage to be banned … Last week, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend shared the tragic news about Baby Jack. Teigen, in her deepest agony, chose to share with the world her pain and grief after losing their son, and it started a dialogue not only normalizing the silent grief many women are mistakenly ashamed to share, but it called into question the word miscarriage and the stigma it creates — somehow blaming the mother for the loss. Women took to Twitter to share their stories and call for an end of the use of the word miscarriage — preferring pregnancy loss, instead. (Glamour)

Shawn Mendes hasn’t seen Camila Cabello in weeks, but she sure is on his mind — and in the grooves of his new Wonder album.
The Canadian cutie tells Sirius XM that he’s still very much into Camila, who served as a huge inspiration for his new music. Shawn says, “She’s doing amazing. I haven’t seen her actually in like a month and two weeks, not that I’m counting… She’s back really soon and I think it’s interesting ’cause when your girlfriend is an insanely talented, real musician who writes her own music, it’s scary to write an album around her.”
He adds that Camila was as encouraging as she was scary. “[She’d say] ‘Go, keep going, keep going.’ And she would do this thing like once a month, ‘Hey, just a reminder, this concept you’re on is incredible. It’s going to make people feel something really special. Don’t stop. Don’t stop. Don’t stop.’ And it was this force of energy that I think was really helpful.”
Wonder is set for release on December 4th.

British television executives performed a tricky operation this past week — by removing a carrot from the top off Ed Sheeran‘s head.
The veggie surgery was actually performed on a puppet version of Ed, which was to appear on a new season of Spitting Image. After seeing the lookalike Sheeran, execs thought the carrot would be offensive to Ed’s fellow gingers, so they took it out and replaced it with turnip leaves.
A source at ITV tells the Sun, “The puppeteers didn’t seem too happy about the changes.  But it’s a fine line when you’re making comedy. It’s one thing poking fun at the rich and powerful but it’s another insulting some viewers.”.

She recently traveled with him to Ohio and Minnesota. Trump Tweeted; “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!”

As if October hasn’t been scary enough already, seems mother nature is bringing us her own Halloween gift…ABC says a Blue Moon is going to occur on Halloween. The last time a full moon was seen on Halloween was in 2001.

Before you take the next online delivery package you get inside your house, you might want to sanitize it first. TMZ says over 19,000 Amazon workers have contracted the coronavirus since the pandemic started. Amazon and Whole Foods employ 1.37 million people.

Christmas Creep … Have you noticed that “Christmas Creep” – when stores start introducing Christmas items – has started much earlier this year? We usually manage to get through Halloween before we are bombarded with all the sights and sounds of the season, but like everything else, that has all changed because of COVID. With the world of retail looking different than it has in prior years, both brick-and-mortar and online outlets are feeling the need to reach consumers sooner in case of supply chain issues or shipping delays. After experiencing bleeding during the final month of her pregnancy, the 34-year-old checked into a Los Angeles hospital for blood transfusions. She and husband John Legend have two other children and had already picked the name Jack for the boy she was expecting.
Along with a heart-breaking black-and-white photo of herself crying sitting on a hospital bed, Chrissy wrote on Instagram, (quote) “We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”
She continued, “We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack,”
“So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever,” she added. “To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.”

In her documentary This Is Paris, the heiress says her time at the school was “a living hell,” where she was forced to take prescription pills, placed in solitary confinement and beaten.
On their website, the Provo Canyon School points out it was sold after Paris attended and that they “therefore cannot comment on the operations or patient experience prior to that time.”

Nicknames are great when they organically happen among people you know, but when you are introduced by your full name, for example, Jessica or James, and someone decides to start calling you Jess or Jim, it can get irritating. That’s exactly what happened to star quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes — only it was his mom who took offense for him!
Randi Mahomes was watching the game Monday night and announcer Louis Riddick kept calling him Pat. Mamma Randi got fed up with the shortening of her son’s name, she took to Twitter to announce, “If this announcer doesn’t stop calling my son Pat … ugh I may scream.” She wasn’t really serious because she added an LOL to the post, but it still got the attention of ESPN, and by the 4th quarter of the game, Louis Riddick had apologized to both Randi and Patrick stating, “Guilty, guilty, guilty. I apologize, Patrick.” (Newser)

Shawn Mendes is ready to deck your halls with something very special — a new album set to drop just before Christmas.
The Canadian superstar has set a December 4th release for Wonder, which he wrote and recorded during the pandemic lockdown. He wrote a note to fans saying, “It really feels like a piece of me has been written down on paper and recorded into song. I tried to be as real and as honest as I’ve ever been. It’s a world and a journey and a dream and an album I’ve been wanting to make for a really long time. Thank you for being by my side for so many years. I love you all so much.”Shawn shared a trailer teasing the album along with that note, and will drop the title track as a single on Friday.

Demi Lovato has turned the negative of her broken engagement into a positive for fans — by quickly writing and releasing a raw new song about the split.
Demi dropped the emotional ballad “Still Have Me” via social media on Wednesday, and the lyrics make it clear that she’s ready to move on. She sings, “It hurts to breathe / I don’t have much but at least I still have me / And that’s all I need.”
Estranged fiance Max Ehrlich has been using his social media to beg Demi to take him back, but hasn’t had much luck so far.

Christina Aguilera knows she’s beautiful… No matter what “they” say — and she’s opening up to her fans about her journey to self-love.
In a new interview, she says that she’s learned to overcome the anxiety she used to feel when people criticized her looks. X-Tina told Italy magazine L’Officiel [pr: Loh Fish-EE-ell], “I have often clashed with my anxieties and with being hyper-critical towards myself. [I’m] not always pretty, far from perfect, but pure. I’m not going on a diet, so get over it.”
And she offers some advice for those who might be having trouble accepting themselves in that same way, saying, “Swim in your lane. If you waste time looking over your shoulder to see what others are doing, you lose sight of it, is the best advice I’ve ever been given.”

The death of Kobe Bryant compelled California to create a law against first responders photographing the deceased at a crime scene.
This month, Kobe’s widow Vanessa Bryant sued the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The lawsuit alleges “no fewer than eight sheriff’s deputies were at the scene snapping cell-phone photos of the dead children, parents, and coaches.” Two Los Angeles firefighters were also accused of showing dead Kobe pictures to drinking buddies.
Governor Gavin Newsom signed “The Kobe Bryant Act of 2020,” which makes such actions punishable by a $1,000 fine. Only authorized people for “official law enforcement purpose” may snap pictures at the scene of a crime. (People)

Hugh Jackman has been hounded by rumors about his sexuality for years. Now, his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, has addressed the speculation.

She also talks about people saying she’s “lucky” to be married to the star. Deborra-Lee says, “People don’t realize, it’s actually rude to say that. ‘Lucky’ because he’s a stud-muffin, you know, but that’s showbiz and Hollywood and the brand of Hugh Jackman.”

But an insider tells Page Six, “Marie did not leave of her own accord, although she was encouraged to spin her departure that way.” The source alleges that Sharon and Sheryl tried to force Marie to quit, but when she refused, they went to CBS execs with an ultimatum. Meanwhile, co-host Carrie Ann Inaba “pleaded with execs for Marie to stay but she wasn’t successful changing their minds.”
A different CBS insider insisted there was no meeting with execs and that Sharon and Sheryl never issued an ultimatum.

In Covid-19 news, according to a recent Stanford University study, the chances of achieving herd immunity to stabilize the spread of coronavirus is slim — considering less than 10 percent of Americans were found, in July, to have antibodies that fight against it. So, at this point, a vaccine is likely going to be the only solution.

An unsurprising new study has found that people have been drinking a lot more – and a lot more frequently — since the start of COVID-19. According to a survey by the RAND Corp., heavy drinking among women — four or more drinks within a couple of hours — has increased by a whopping 41%. And, overall, adults over the age of 30 have increased the frequency of their drinking by 14% compared to the same time last year. (CBS Local Los Angeles)

Kelly Clarkson‘s impending divorce just took another ugly turn — because her father-in-law says she owes him over a million bucks in unpaid management fees.
Narvel Blackstock, whose son Brandon married Kel back in 2013, has managed her career for over a decade. In the suit, filed this week, his firm says she’s fallen behind on payments for her work on her talk show and The Voice. The suit states that Clarkson has paid the firm $1.9 million this year, but owes another $1.4 million.
According to Variety, the two sides never had a written deal in place, just a verbal agreement for Kelly to pay 15 percent of her earnings, which she’d done since 2003.

Mariah Carey remains bitter about how she was treated by her producer and first husband Tommy Mottola.
While calling the music mogul “controlling and jealous” in the just-published The Meaning of Mariah Carey, Mimi dubs the suburban New York home they shared as “Sing Sing” (after the nearby penitentiary). She says the place was “fully staffed with armed guards,” whose job wasn’t to protect but monitor her.
In particular, she recalls a 1996 incident where, after a recording session in her home studio with producer rapper DaBrat, they drove off to a nearby Burger King. Mimi claims that Mottola went “berserk” and called out an armed search party.
Carey and Mottola separated a year later. In his 2013 memoir, he admitted being “obsessive” but alleges she described their marriage in “harsh” and “untrue” terms. She does acknowledge that he made her a star. (BBC)
